La Orden de Iniciación Cristiana de Adultos, 'OICA', es la forma normativa de formación y preparación para el ingreso a la Iglesia Católica. Este proceso se conocía anteriormente como RICA, el Rito de Iniciación Cristiana de Adultos, hasta que los obispos estadounidenses lo renombraron en 2021 para reflejar una traducción más precisa del latín original. La OCIA está diseñada para formar intelectualmente y preparar espiritualmente a los participantes —que han alcanzado la edad de uso de razón (generalmente alrededor de los 7 años)— para convertirse al catolicismo. Adultos, jóvenes y niños recivirán los Sacramentos durante la Vigilia de Pascua al completar la preparación.

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults 'OCIA' is the normative way to receive formation and prepare to enter the Catholic Church. This process was previously known as RCIA, the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, until the U.S. bishops renamed it in 2021 to reflect a more accurate translation of the original Latin. OCIA is designed to intellectually form and spiritually prepare participants — who have attained the age of reason (generally around the age of 7) — to become Catholic. Adults, adolescents, and children will receive the Sacraments during the Easter Vigil upon completion of their preparation.

La Primera comunión es una ceremonia sagrada que se realiza en la Iglesia católica, generalmente a partir de los 8 años o segundo grado de la escuela. Es la primera vez que se recibe el pan y el vino, la Eucaristía. Es el segundo Sacramento de iniciación y celebra la presencia real de Jesucristo en el pan y vino.

First Communion is a sacred ceremony that takes place in the Catholic Church, generally beginning at age 8 or in second grade. It is the first time a child receives the bread and wine, the Eucharist. It is the second sacrament of initiation and celebrates the real presence of Jesus Christ in the bread and wine.

El Sacramento de Confirmación nos une fuertemente a Cristo, y El Espíritu Santo nos da fuerza para difundir y defender nuestra fe a través de siete dones recibidos: Sabiduría, Entendimiento, Consejo, Fortaleza, Ciencia, Piedad y Temor a Dios. La Confirmación es administrada a jóvenes a partir del octavo grado.

The Sacrament of Confirmation unites us strongly to Christ, and the Holy Spirit empowers us to spread and defend our faith through the seven gifts we have received: Wisdom, Understanding, Counsel, Fortitude, Knowledge, Piety, and Fear of the Lord. Confirmation is administered to young people beginning in eighth grade.
